About the Journal

The Veterinary Biomedical and Clinical Journal (VBCJ) is a peer-reviewed journal managed by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at Universitas Brawijaya, Indonesia. Initially registered in 2019 (ISSN Online: 2622-1012), the journal has undergone significant organizational restructuring, gaining a professional collaboration with the Indonesian Veterinary Association for East Java II (PDHI Jatim II) in 2020, and leading to a renewed commitment to professional editorial management beginning in 2022. This journal provides a platform for the dissemination of good-quality research across all fields of veterinary biomedical and clinical sciences, including original research, review papers, short communication, and case reports. This journal has two (2) issues in a year which will be published normally in July and December, with a continuous publication method.

To implement the quality assurance of the journal, the editorial board members were invited from seven (8) countries, namely Indonesia, Australia, Malaysia, the United States of America, Nigeria, Bangladesh, England, and Belgium.

Meanwhile, the authors so far are from 12 countries, namely the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Germany, the United States of America, Queensland, Nigeria, Brunei Darussalam, Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia.

Peer reviewers who are working in the editorial process come from 15 countries, namely Indonesia, Nigeria, India, Tunisia, Italy, Belgium, South Korea, Malaysia, Australia, the United States of America, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, New Zealand, and Zambia.

New Publication Policies on Veterinary Biomedical and Clinical Journal (VBCJ)

In order to meet the Indonesian National Standard of Scientific Publication and improving the quality of the journal, starting from 2024 (Volume 6 Number 2) Veterinary Biomedical and Clinical Journal (VBCJ) introduces new publication policies as follows:

  1. The copyright of the manuscript was changed from the journal publisher to the authors (link copyright notice)
  2. A new layout style is introduced to aim optimal utilisation of the available pages (link author guideline)

OVERVIEW

This volume delves into key aspects of veterinary microbiology, physiology, and therapeutic innovations, addressing both clinical and biomedical challenges. Research highlights include antibiotic susceptibility profiles of Pasteurella multocida in cattle and Streptococcus spp. in cats, providing insights into antimicrobial resistance in veterinary practice. Additionally, the volume explores the physiological effects of Moringa oleifera in goats, the protective potential of green tea extract on Zebrafish oocytes under heat stress, and the sedative properties of lemongrass aromatherapy in mice, showcasing the integration of natural and evidence-based approaches to enhance animal health and welfare.
